EverQuest celebrates its 25th anniversary with 84 original characters still playing

It’s EverQuest’s 25th anniversary and the online game’s owner, Daybreak Game Company, will mark the occasion with gifts for fans.

That’s twenty-five years of missions filled, achievements earned, missions completed, zones traveled in and out of, items and goods crafted, and everything else under the Norrathian sun.

A total of 9,132 days have passed since its debut on March 16, 1999. The longest time playing a character is 8331 days for Kiith. During this time, over 5,144 EQ centuries were played. Fippy has been killed 2,630,016 times. There are approximately 9.32 million characters in EQ and there are currently 24 servers.

And 84 characters created on March 16, 1999 are still in play. The game contains 439,354 NPCs, 880 zones and 167,491 items.

All players will receive the following: 50% experience bonus! (Bonus ends April 1, 2024 at 1:00 a.m. PDT.); The Royal Silver Crown for all its characters. (One per character; available until April 20, 2024 at 11:00 PM ET).

All Access members will also receive: The Darkpaw Torch ornament for all your characters. (One per character; available until 8:00 PM PDT April 20, 2024) ; level 100 heroic character (one per account; available until 20:00 PDT on April 20, 2024); Goblet of Adventure II (one per account; available until 8:00 PM PDT on April 20, 2024); Darkpaw’s torch ornament.

This year, there will be new tasks in the game: Alta the Terrified saw things she simply shouldn’t have seen. They offer the Chasing the Unreal mission in the Crescent Reach. Ghrald McMannus of Katta Castellum has a vested interest in solving this problem with The Pursuit of Madness.

He will have a new mission: A continuation of Ghrald McMannus’ investigation leads adventurers to Reflections of You, starting from Katta Castellum. There will be a new raid: Talk to Ghrald McMannus to force an end to the madness in the Turmoil Within event.

All tasks and missions added last year will return.
